Network affiliates act as content creators, distributors or both. Content creators offer presentations to ATCEN affiliates. These presentations can be distributed by any affiliate acting as a content distributor. Content distributors market the content to ATCs seeking professional development opportunities.

For example, a university in District 5 may offer a continuing education presentation on its campus. The university, acting as a content creator, could record the presentation and make it available for distribution throughout the network. An association in district 7, for instance, could sell this online presentation to its members. In this case, revenue would be generated for both the university and the association.

There are no upfront costs associated with this process. Revenue is generated through sales. Each time a continuing education presentation is sold, revenue is shared by the content creator, distributor and the service provider.
